Lukoil borrows $660 mln to finance gas refinery in Uzbekistan

MOSCOW/BUKHARA REGION, Apr 19 (PRIME) -- Russian oil company Lukoil took a U.S. $660 million loan for 10 years to finance part of the costs of a gas refinery on the Kandym field in Uzbekistan, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

The loan was provided by ING Bank, UniCredit Bank and Deutsche Bank, and was insured by Korea’s K-Sure.

Investments in the plant launched on Thursday amounted to $3.4 billion.
